**Blue Eyeshadow**

I hope you are proud of yourself with your blue eye shadow and untroubled attitude

Trying to walk around in someone else’s shoes and pass them as your own

Girl I hope you know who you are, I hope you know who you are dealing with

Walking around blindfolded, I hope you remove that satin scarf from your eyes early in your life

Those mistakes will catch up with you, 

Those mishaps will make you weak

Open your mouth and confess that you are not all that and a bag of chips

Open your mind and realize there is more than one perception that matters

Grow up and tell that woman you are sorry for bringing pain to her life

Woman up and realize that you have the power to change lives of others, positive or negative

Stop hiding behind that blue eye shadow 

Prancing around like nobody sees you

We all see through the colour block

We see past the bitter remarks and nasty attitude

That little girl inside wants to come out and shine

Like a swan on the lakes of green pastures

Wash off that blue eye shadow and realize your true beauty

Embrace your natural being and the world will embrace your spirit

Don’t hold on to the hurt, the anger, the disappointment, or the misery

Quit holding on to that negative blue eye shadow
